Information

Bungangchon - Traditional HouseThis is the most particular experience on your life in Korea !!
Visitors also can stay at a Han-Ok, a Korean traditional house. It could be a good chance for overseas visitors to experience the old Korean life style. All furniture, windows and other items are reproductions of a traditional Korean house. Traditional sleeping pads and quilts are provided.

Andong Hahoe Village
This is village whose main habitants are of the Pungsan 'Ryu' clan. It is called 'Hahoe' because the Nakdong River flows around the village in an S-shape. The village is set in a scene of unsurpassed beauty. Three mountains and a dense pine forest encircle it like folding screens. The Nakdong River flows smoothly by, bordered by sandy beaches. Overhead rears
the strange rock shapes of Puyongdae cliff.

ByeongSan SeoWon (Byeongsan Conficion School)
Byeongsan Seowon is a Confucian school that was established by esteemed Confucian scholars to pay tribute to the memory of Ryu Seongryong(1542-1607), who was well-respected for his writings and personality. His mortuary tablet is enshrined at this school. Around the time of 1863, Confucian schools enjoyed many freedoms under the Joseon rule, students and scholars of the school were exempt from taxation and other expenses. Byeongsan Seowon was one of 47 places in all of Korea and 2 in Andong not destroyed during the rule of Daewongun [Politician of Joseon Imperial family, 1820~ 1898] in 1868. The Nakdong River is situated just in front of the Confucian school. Cross the river and the Byeongsan Mountain can be found. By forming a folding screen like shape around the school, the mountains both protect and add a serene beauty to the area.
