Beijing + Guilin + Yangshuo (7D)

Day 01 Arrival in Beijing (L)

English speaking guide will meet you at the airport and make the transfer to the hotel. After lunch, you will visit Tian’anmen Square and Forbidden City. Then you will be transferred to hotel.
Accommodation is at the decent 4 star hotel.

Day 02 Beijing (B, L,SD)
The highlight tour today is to visit the Great Wall in the morning, and the Olympic Green with the ‘Birds’ Nest’ and the ‘Water Cube’ in the afternoon. The Authentic Peking Roasted Duck will be served for today’s dinner.

Day 03 Beijing-Guilin (B, L,D)
After having breakfast at hotel, take 2.5-hour flight to Guilin, where you will enjoy the excellent landscape with the winding rivers and the spectacular pointed mountains.
You will visit the Elephant Trunk hill and Fubo Mountain. At night, you may have an evening walk in the city downtown. We suggest you walking along Bin Jiang Road where you will find the whole city is designed as a beautiful garden.

Day 04 Guilin (B, L,D)
Today you will visit the Reed Flute Cave, which is represented as the Palace of Nature's Art. It is renowned for the marvelous spectacles formed by stalagmites, stalactites, stone columns, stone curtains and stone flowers. Under the suitable function of lighting facilities, the cave looks more fabulous. When staying in it, you will probably think it a fairy land. Afterwards, you will visit Seven Star Park, which is famous for its charming mountains and waters, which is a must-see in Guilin City. Looking eastwards on the Liberation Bridge (Jiefang Qiao), you can see the park is formed by seven peaks - the four peaks of the Mt. Putuo and the three peaks of the Mt. Yueya. The seven peaks distribute in the form of the Dipper and people call them Seven-Star Mountains

Day 05 Guilin-Yangshuo (B, L,D)
It will be the highlight day to enjoy the downstream cruise on the beautiful Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo. Mountain scenery from the Li River even graces the twenty Renminbi (Chinese yuan) note. The limestone peaks poke out of the Li valley as if a child had drawn them. Taking in the views of verdant mountains while meandering down the Li River in a tour boat is a wonderful way to kick back and see a part of China that is very different from sprawling metropolis life in Beijing or Shanghai. At night, you will enjoy watching the fantastic folk show ‘Impression Liu Sanjie’. Overnight at Yangshuo.

Day 06 Yangshuo-Guilin-Beijing (B, L)
After having breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred back to Guilin airport and take 2.5-hour flight back to Beijing. It will be your free time afterwards.

Day 07 Departure from Beijing (B)
After having breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for the departure flight.



Elephant Trunk Hill

Elephant Trunk Hill is located on the western bank of Li River. The shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk, so it is called Elephant Trunk Hill. Shui Yue Cave (Water Moon Cave) is between the trunk and the legs, which is a semi-round cave penetrated by water. The inverted reflection of the cave in water plus the part above forms a full moon. This phenomenon is unique and many laudatory inscriptions were found on the wall inside the cave. Visitors can boat through the cave to the river. Another cave regarded as the eyes of the elephant lies in the hillside. It provides tourists an ideal position to enjoy the panoramic view of Guilin. On the top of the hill is a two-storey pagoda built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) surrounded by green trees. The north seat of the second floor is inlaid with an image of Bodhisattva Puxian. The pagoda looks like a precious vase on the back of an elephant seen from distance and many beautiful legends about the pagoda with good wishes are said among people. As the symbol of Guilin, Elephant Trunk Hill is the main scenic spot of the Elephant Trunk Hill Park, which also includes Yunfeng Monastery (a building with ancient style), Aiqing Dao (Love Island) and so on.
